According to public information, Miao Hua, male, Han ethnicity, born in November 1955, from Rugao, Jiangsu Province, born in Fuzhou, Fujian, graduated from the University of Defense Technology with a bachelor's degree in management engineering, bachelor's degree, and the rank of general. He joined the Chinese People's Liberation Army in December 1969 and joined the Communist Party of China in September 1973, and has served as a soldier, squad leader, platoon leader and other positions in the army, and has been continuously promoted. In July 2001, Miao Hua was promoted to the rank of major general, in July 2012 to the rank of lieutenant general, and in July 2015 to the rank of general. During his military career, he served as political commissar of the 12th Group Army, former director of the Political Department of the Lanzhou Military Region, former deputy political commissar and secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of the Lanzhou Military Region, former political commissar of the Lanzhou Military Region, and political commissar of the Navy. Since September 2017, Miao Hua has served as the director of the Political Work Department of the Central Military Commission, and has subsequently become a member of the Central Military Commission of the Communist Party of China and a member of the Central Military Commission of the People's Republic of China.
Previously, on November 28, 2024, the Ministry of National Defense held a regular press conference, and Colonel Wu Qian, director of the Information Bureau of the Ministry of National Defense and spokesperson of the Ministry of National Defense, released information that Miao Hua, member of the Central Military Commission and director of the Political Work Department of the Central Military Commission, was suspected of serious violations of discipline. On April 30, 2025, the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress issued an announcement that the Military Congress of the Political Work Department of the Central Military Commission decided to remove Miao Hua from his post as a deputy to the 14th National People's Congress. Now, Miao Hua has been removed from his post as a member of the Central Military Commission, and the follow-up situation needs further attention.
